GBfoods is proud to participate in the first CBE JU FLAGSHIP project<\/strong> that aims to transform the botanical extracts industry,<\/strong> with a scalable, replicable model<\/strong> for the European bio-based sector.<\/p>\n\n

This resource-efficient project aims to industrially deploy a versatile and multi-product digital biorefinery with a NetZero Carbon ambition<\/strong>. By integrating the entire supply chain<\/strong>\u2014from feedstock to end-users<\/strong>\u2014it enables batch-optimized cascading feedstock valorization<\/strong>, ensuring maximum value with zero waste and zero emissions<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n

As STAR Industriale S.r.l<\/strong>, our role within the project focuses on incorporating botanical extracts<\/strong> into existing recipes to replace chemical preservatives<\/strong> and reduce product defects<\/strong>. This approach enhances the naturality, sustainability, and nutritional properties<\/strong> of our products while maintaining high-quality standards<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n

At GBfoods, we believe that embracing circular economy principles<\/strong> benefits both our industry and the environment, driving us toward a more sustainable future for generations to come<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n

Launched in June 2023<\/strong>, the project will run for 4.5 years<\/strong> and brings together 20 partners across Europe<\/strong>, including:<\/p>\n\n
