Since 2020, we have reduced energy consumption by 39%, and 98% of the electricity used across all our European factories now comes from renewable sources. In addition, solar panels installed at our factories now supply 12% of our total energy needs. In 2024, our Alcañiz factory (Spain) became our first carbon-neutral site.
Regarding ingredients, in 2024 we reduced the meat content in Erasco stews by 23%, cutting CO₂ emissions in Germany by 30%. We are also advancing sustainable sourcing and regenerative agriculture practices for key ingredients, such as basil used in our Tigullio pesto (Italy).
On packaging, 93% of our packaging is already recyclable. We also achieved a 10% reduction in glass for Tigullio pesto jars (Italy) and introduced 25% recycled PET in Liebig soups (France and Belgium).
